The Korean Cultural Service New York & the Korean Cultural Centre UK present NyLon: London –New York Exchange Exhibition. This collaboration features two contempory artist from London, and two artist from New York: Buhm Hong, Jean Shin, Meekyoung Shin, and Je Baak. After a succcessful showing in London last month, KCS is very excited to have the exhibition brough to Gallery Korea in New York.
From November 16 to December 16, 2011 the exhibition NyLon: New York - London Exchange Exhibition will bring together four Korean artists based in New York and London. As it marks our first exchange exhibition with the Korean Cultural Centre UK, NyLon is attempting to pave a new way for these two institutions to promote Korean artists on the global art scene.
The four diverse artists Buhm Hong, Jean Shin, Meekyoung Shin, and Je Baak explore a range of cross-cultural influences through their work, inspired by their lives in two of the world’s leading cultural capitals. The works of the four artists present multi-faceted and diverse interests and aspects of contemporary art produced in the two cities, sometimes in parallel and at other times crossing paths.
