Ambassador Lee Won Ik visited Ankara University on the 20th of January (Wed) and discussed the development of Korean language textbooks and scholarships for descendants of Korean War veterans with the Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Unuvar.

Ambassador Lee said that the National Institute of the Korean Language which is specialized in developing textbooks is actively promoting textbook development. He requested the cooperation of Ankara University with the Korean Cultural Center and the National Institute of Korean Language for the development of this year's textbook.

In this regard, Rector Unuvar said he would pay attention to ensure that good results can be produced and emphasized the importance of setting a timeline for this.

Ambassador Lee said that the Korean War veterans have great importance for bilateral relations. He requested information about Ankara University students who are descendants of Korean War veterans so it will be taken into consideration on the scholarship program.

In response, Rector Unuvar said that the Ministry of Family and Social Policies is managing the veteran affairs, so that relevant information could be obtained, and he promised cooperation on this issue.
