Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Centre Australia presents Korean Book Club in May which will discuss OLD KOREA: THE LAND OF MORNING CALM, a 1946 culture information book for Korea written and illustrated by Elizabeth Keith (1887 - 1956), a Scottish artist and writer offering a traditional look (by Westerners) at Korea's culture and customs during the Japanese Colonial Era with vivid illustrations by Keith.

Join the conversation with Wayne Crothers, senior curator of Asian art at the NGV, and Jackie Menzies, President of the Asian Arts Society of Australia (TAASA), to learn about how old Korea was viewed in the eyes of foreigners, as well as Elizabeth Keith's unique artistic world.

WHEN: 20 May 2021, 6 PM (AEST)
WHERE: Korean Cultural Centre (255 Elizabeth St. Sydney NSW 2000)
