The Korean Cultural Center in Hungary will present its new online exhibition titled ’Kyubang in Budapest’ from May 17 to June 21, 2021. Besides the Center’s collection of traditional works by Korean masters, the exhibition features the rich repertory of students of cultural classes: works made with traditional Korean quilting (jogakbo) techniques, paintings made with traditional and folk painting techniques (minhwa and sagunja) and calligraphic works.
The institute has been running Korean cultural courses since 2012 and is proud that students have mastered these traditional handicraft techniques at a high level, thus promoting Korean culture as well as preserving its traditions.
Due to the current epidemic restrictions, the exhibition can be viewed online for the time being, the exhibition may be open to the public in the future, depending on the COVID-19 situation.
Exhibition period: 17 May – 21 June 2021
