Bringing the very best of Korean cinema Down Under, the Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA), returns to Canberra (2-6 Sept), Brisbane (16-19 Sept), Melbourne (16-23 Sept) and Sydney (14-23 Oct) for another year, showcasing the best films from Korea’s world-class film industry.
From the biggest blockbusters haunting arthouse dramas, rom-coms, thrillers and more, the Festival presents a stellar program of films from Korea’s top filmmakers.
Presented by the Korean Cultural Centre Australia, the 2021 edition of the Festival promises to showcase the unique culture of Korea. “2021 marks the incredible 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Australia” said Jihee Kim, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre. “The Korean Film Festival aims to introduce Korea and its culture through films while also encouraging talent exchange between the film industries of the two countries. To celebrate this milestone, our Festival program will feature some incredible films that highlight the wonder of Korean culture through cinema."
The full program will be announced on 5 August.
