At the 14th Korean Film Festival, we will present a total of 18 films to audiences in 4 sections. The Fresh section features the latest Korean films from costume movies to thrillers and romantic-fantasy dramas. In addition to the novelty, this section focuses on the emerging directions of Korean film. The Faces section showcases one of Korea’s high-impact filmmakers to give the audience a comprehensive view of each creator. The first Oscar-winning Korean actor, Youn Yuh-jung made history in April when she won the Best Actress Award for her portrayal in Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari. In 2021, we selected episodes from the oeuvre of the actress. In the Focus section, we deal with the typical and highly successful Korean film genre, the gangster noir. Rich in action-packed, dramatic twists and turns, mafia stories depict Asian underworld life with a blood-curdling reality. Our Extra section presents special female stories through three documentaries, but we are also offering something to those interested in many other genres, dramas and comedies!

On September 27, 2021, entitled The Future of Cinema, we will talk to Hungarian experts about the fate of cinemas in the world of streaming service providers.

Tickets for the film screenings will be available for purchase through the Corvin Cinema Ticketing System from September 16, 2021.
