The Korean Cultural Center in Turkey held a K-Pop concert and fan meeting of the five-member male idol group 'Dongkiz' on Saturday, August 28th from 7:30 pm local time for about 2 hours. It was held as an online/offline hybrid at the outdoor performance hall of Kentpark shopping mall located in Ankara.

Concert planned to meet the interest and demand of Hallyu fans for K-Pop, the largest Korean Wave content in the host country, and composed of five popular Dongkiz songs, cover songs of BTS and EXO D.O. loved by Hallyu fans around the world, and a cover of Edis, a national singer in Turkey.

Dongkiz stole the hearts of Turkish K-Pop fans with perfect performances by performing various stages such as "Lupin" and BTS cover songs, and had time to communicate directly with local fans through fan meetings held in the middle of the performance. In addition, the veteran host Park Jae-min, who has many fans in Turkey, added a great flavor to the performance.

Through a raffle of prizes held throughout the performance, Donkiz goods, Missha cosmetics, and chrysanthemum flowers were presented. Chrysanthemum flowers were purchased directly to convey comfort to Turkish fans who were particularly struggling with forest fires.

Dilara, who attended the Donkiz concert, said, "I have been missing face-to-face concerts due to COVID-19, and I am so grateful and happy that the cultural center held a K-Pop concert." In addition, Sumeyye said, "My daughter loves K-Pop so much that she came to see the concert despite the Corona virus"

In addition, major local media such as Anadolu Agency, the Hurriyet Newspaper, and NTV have shown great interest in the event, and about 16 media have reported so far. In addition, more than 2,000 people watched live Instagram broadcasts and recorded 15,600 views.

Park Kee-Houng, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey, stressed that it is the first large offline event to be held since COVID-19 among 32 Korean cultural centers in 29 countries around the world, and said, "I hope this concert will be a time to comfort and give hope to Korean Wave fans tired of natural disasters such as forest fires and floods."
