The Korean Cultural Center in Thailand(KCC Thailand) held the 'One-day Kimchi class' with the diplomatic corps in Thailand, on 18th October at 10 AM. The members of MACT-S, Military Attache Corps of Thailand - Spouses, joined to this class, and their nationalities are various, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand.
The class started with brief introduction of Kimchi, Kimjang(Kimchi making) and its history. The participants learnt the whole process of Kimjang on the individual's table for an hour, under the guidance of Ms. Yoon Dae-suk, the owner of Korean restaurant 'Myeong Ga' in Bangkok.
Ms. Anett from the US Military Attache said, "I don't know much about Kimchi, but my husband likes it, after he dispatched to Korea for two years. Today, I surprised that the taste of Kimchi is so nice, and there are the unique technique and long history for making Kimchi, as the fermented food." Ms. Rachel from Singapore also said, "Since I am a big fan of Kimchi, it was great experience to make Kimchi by myself today."
KCC Thailand will keep doing promotional activity, not only Kimchi, but entire Korean foods.
