In Korea, as is customary, on the eve of the first full moon of each lunar year, a ceremony is held to keep misfortune away from the village and to pray for an abundant harvest. “Dancing in the Moonlight” elaborates on the folk traditions of this full moon festival (Korean: Jeongwol Daeboreum, meaning “Early Moon Fill of the Year”) in the distinctive performance style of the Yeonhwa Company. During the performance, the audience can also be an active participant of the show, which combines singing, dancing and instrumental music.
