Events at KCCs abroad

From April 23 until April 28, the Korean Cultural Center in Brussels organized the lecture series 'Seoul, soul of Asia', through which an international audience was able to discover new aspects of Seoul, a city with a long history that transformed into an international metropolis under political, economic, social and urban changes.

For those who missed the live webinars on Zoom, the webinars were made available to rewatch on the YouTube channel of Korean Cultural Center of Brussels:

Webinar - Séoul dans la littérature

What influence does Seoul have on Korean literature?

In the webinar 'Séoul dans la littérature' Prof. Patrick Maurus discussed how urbanization in Korea parallels the development of modern literature.

Webinar - We as Self: "Ouri" in Korean

“Is Korean philosophy possible?” As in many European countries, Korea also has a long history of philosophical tradition. Is there a philosophy in Korea that can be distinguished from that of other regions or countries?

In the webinar 'We as Self: "Ouri" in Korean', Dr. Kim Hye Young answered these questions by paying special attention to the Korean language, which, like any language, is a tool of thought.

Webinar - Starry Crosses in a Growing Metropolis

In this webinar Doctoral researcher Kang Youngji explored Catholic church architecture from 1953 to 1994 in Seoul, a growing metropolis under multifaceted dynamics.

This webinar series were organized as part of the Exhibition 'Mega Seoul, 4 decades' that was held in Korean Cultural Center Brussels and was curated by the Museum of Photography Seoul, as part of KOFICE’s 'Traveling Korean Arts’ Project.
