Events at KCCs abroad

As part of the 'Korean Culture Experience Program' project, the Korean Cultural Center in Italy is working with local distributor Tucker Film for 24 hours from 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 to 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 29, 2021. An online screening of Korean films was held through the website of the Korean Cultural Center.


The Korean movie that was screened on this day was <Little Forest> (Italian subtitles, director Im Soon-rye, starring Kim Tae-ri, Ryu Jun-yeol, Jin Ki-joo, released in 2018).


This movie tells the story of Hyewon, the main character, who returns to her hometown after stopping her daily life when nothing goes according to her wishes, such as exams, dating, and employment, and spends special four seasons with her old friends Jaeha and Eunsook, revealing her own way of life. content to be found.
A total of 903 people from all over Italy watched this online movie screening.

Movie viewers showed a very positive reaction through Facebook and Instagram comments and emails at the Cultural Center, some of which are introduced as follows.

As it was promoted in advance using a movie trailer video, the trailer video uploaded to the Cultural Center YouTube recorded 19,612 views.


Five posts related to the movie screenings posted on Facebook recorded a total of 739 likes, 60 comments, and 81 shares.


Four posts related to the screening on Instagram received a great response, recording 3,794 likes, 64 comments, and 602 saves.


In addition, the number of views of the movie post page of <Little Forest> on the homepage of the Cultural Center was recorded 4,637 times.

This screening was also conducted through a limited disclosure method for KCCI Newsletter members, and 274 new members were registered as KCCI members.


The Korean Cultural Center in Italy has been screening Korean films online every month, introducing Korean culture to local people through Korean films.
