Consul General Won-sam Chang met with Senator Pat Toomey on Wednesday, August 25. Amb. Chang expressed his appreciation to the senator for his support for honoring the Korean War veterans and enhancing the Korea-US relations. He also took the opportunity to discuss ways to expand STEM jobs for Korean professionals, bring about permanent peace on the Korean peninsula, and address the rising anti-Asian hate crimes. The Consulate General has been collaborating with Sen. Toomey’s office to provide and award the Ambassador for Peace medals to Korean War veterans since November 2015.
