Korean Cultural Centre India announced a collaboration with Seoul International Dance (SIDANCE) to present Korean Contemporary Dance performances from 11th December till 12th December through the Official Youtube Channel of Korean Cultural Centre India.
This event will screen 5 works from the Seoul International Dance Festival, which was conducted digitally. Since the audience could feel unfamiliarity with Contemporary dance, works that contain various ideas and elements that induce interest were selected.
The festival will be Opened and Closed by a screening of LDP’s ‘Lavender, Vender’ and ‘O floor’. Since its foundation in 2001, the LDP Dance Company is one of Korea's leading contemporary dance organizations that has been actively engaged in domestic and foreign activities.
Other screenings will include Melancholy Dance Company’s uniquely filmed performance ‘Übermensch’, Goblin Party’s ‘Shyness’, which was the winner of 22nd Spanish MASDANZA. Additionally with the core themes of Experiments and Explosions Dad Dance Project’s ‘Bomberman’, which asks about extinction and destruction by humans, will be screened.

The Seoul International Dance Festival was established in 1998, through the opportunity to host the 13th International Dance Association’s World General Assembly in Seoul, it is the largest and the best Dance Festival in Korea. The Seoul International Dance Festival, which continues its 25th anniversary in 2021, is now famous as one of the world's best dance festivals.

In the situation we find ourselves in, I think it is very meaningful to introduce Korea’s outstanding contemporary dance works to India.”
