On 10th December 2021, the ‘Inaugural Korean Ambassador Design Award Ceremony’ was held at the Korean Embassy.

This competition, held from September to November, was co-hosted for the first time with NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts), a leading arts education institution, to expand cultural exchanges in the design field. NAFA students were invited to design eco bags and pouch bags under the theme of ‘Our Actions to Climate Change’.

At the award ceremony, Ambassador Choi Hoon expressed his impression that he was amazed by their creative and wonderful designs and hopes that we can keep a strong partnership continuously.

The winners of the respective award categories are as follows;

1st Place: Tan Megan

2nd Place: Stuti Deorah

3rd Place: Chong Wei Teng

Merit Award: Wong Chee Mei, Jesselyn Huang, Monica Tan Mei Yee, Arvind Nwetha, Livani Angelyn

The winners were awarded their respective prizes (Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Watch, and LG Pocket Photo Snap) along with an award certificate. The top three design artworks will be printed and adapted with their concepts for the purposes of gifts production for the Korean Embassy’s valued partner(s).
