The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Singapore held the award ceremony for the 2021 Ambassador's Cup Taekwondo World Championship on Tuesday, 28 December 2021.
Hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and marking its third anniversary this year, the competition was held as an online Poomsae competition in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, and three Singapore participants won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
At the awards ceremony, Ambassador Choi Hoon congratulated the winners on their outstanding achievements, commenting that he was very glad to see Singapore win its first medals at the event, and also expressed his gratitude for the cooperation between Singapore Taekwondo Federation.
The winners of the respective categories are as follows:
o Gold Medal: Ms. Germaine Loi Jia Min (15 to 17 years old, Female, Individual, Poomsae)
o Silver Medal: Mr. Nicholas Adam Khaw (15 to 17 years old, Male, Individual, Poomsae)
o Mr. Lee Dongho (18 to 35 years old, Male, Individual, Poomsae)
