The Korean Cultural Center in Turkey held an "Online Semina for Study in Korea" based on the growing interest in the GKS program (the selection of foreign scholars invited by the Korean government) of local students and studying abroad.
The briefing session, which was held through IEFT TALKS, Turkey's largest education fair, IEFT's online education briefing program, was a beneficial time for participants planning to support GKS or study in Korea through GKS update information and Q&A session.
The IEFT International Education Fair, which is held every spring and fall in major cities such as Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, has been around 20 years, and is Turkey's largest international education fair with about 250 universities and more than 100,000 visitors from more than 30 countries.
At the briefing session, Kim Hong-ki, head of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey, provided GKS scholarship programs, major universities in Korea, and general information on studying abroad, and about 320 people participated to seminar in real-time.
