Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) held a traditional cultural experience event on February 15 (Wed) at the central lobby of a shopping mall in Jakarta for the Daeboreum(the fifteenth day of the Lunar New Year).


In order to help Indonesian people understand Daeborum(the 15th day of the lunar new year), KCCI introduced its origin and meaning, and showed traditional culture and folk games on the Daeboruem, such as Jwibulnori and Ganggangsuwolrae.


In addition, to promote traditional Korean food, KCCI served out 500 Ogokbap, a symbol of Daeboreum to visitors.


On the other hand, in cooperation with the Jakarta branch of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation(aT), KCCI promoted agro-fishery products and processed foods that are widely used in Korea.


For the promoting hanbok, video screening of "The Beauty of Hanbok", exhibition of hanbok, and experience were also held at the same time.


In an interview of, Kim Yong-woon, director of KCCI, said, "We held a face to face event for the wellbeing and happiness of Indonesian citizens being tired of COVID-19 for more than two years."
