Events at KCCs abroad

On Thursday, February 24, the Korean Cultural Center Indonesia(KCCI) held a Korean signboard hanging ceremony at Kadu Eugang Korean theme park located in Karang Mountain(1,700m above sea level) in Banten Province(110km west of Jakarta).

Since visiting Kadu Eugang Korean theme park in January, KCCI has conducted error correction activities in two weeks after consultation with the park owner, the district tourism department, and local government.

At the time of KCCI’s visit in January, a number of errors were found, including Korean, Taegeukgi, and hanbok, which are symbols of Korean culture, and in particular, there were many errors mixed with Japanese culture(Fuji Mountain, bamboo umbrellas, Sakura, etc.).

KCCI conducted error correction activities with taking advantage of the nature-friendly theme of the Korean village located on the hillside overlooking Sunda Straight, and created a promotion zone for King Sejong and Hangeul in the palm forest instead of meaningless Korean notation.

In addition, it has been reborn as the first Korean theme park in Banten Province by arranging elements that harmonize with nature such as Sotdae, Cheongsa-chorong, and Daljip, which are symbols of Korean culture.
