Events at KCCs abroad

On April 22nd, at the Westin Hotel Jakarta, Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) invited local journalist to join the making Kimchi demo. This event, “Mari Ber-Kimchi (Let's Kimchi)” was held to promote the Korean Kimchi. Around 30 journalists of major Indonesian news channels and papers were invited to the event.

Chef Na Dae-hoon, a chef who is also active as a Korean influencer in Indonesia, delivered the kimchi making demo. During this event, Chef Na showed in detail on how to make authentic Kimchi as well as its history and origin. On the other hand, several participants were invited to directly participate in the process of making Kimchi.

Invited journalists showed a high interest. This time, Chef Na delivered the demo on making Kimchi using materials available in Indonesia. The journalists said it was such a great chance to learn thoroughly the 'authentic way to make Kimchi', something that foreigners rarely know.

This event was held to provide accurate information about Kimchi as a traditional Korean food. KCCI will continue to hold related events to support the promotion of kimchi as Korea's representative food and attract the interest and love of the world community.
