ISU, Korean firm to push green solutions


A new partnership between a university here and a South Korean-based company is set to introduce green and sustainable research and development in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley).


To do this, a formal agreement was forged between the Isabela State University (ISU) and the Korean BioGet Inc. to collaborate for research and technology deployment on smart agriculture, renewable energy and waste-to-energy technology.


According to the university website, ISU and BioGet under the partnership that will link the Cagayan Valley region to the world's efforts on technologically driven waste disposal, and find means for alternative and renewable energy resources.


Dr. Hwansoo Jung, BioGet chief executive officer, said their collaboration will make these technologies more efficient.


Last month, the meeting between Jung and ISU President Dr. Ricmar Aquino highlighted the prospects of green technology for local deployment.
