Ceramic Art Andenne (May 14 - June 12, 2022) / Guest Country KOREA
The Korean Cultural Center participates in the Ceramic Art Andenne 2022 as Guest Country. During the festival, 12 Korean artists showcase 15 artworks in a variety of ways. This festival organizes guest country's exhibition, exhibition of artworks by competition, and residency programs as well.
Guest Country's Exhibition is named as <Hidden Colours; Korean Contemporary Ceramic Art> with 10 artists; Eun Bum LEE, Sung Wook PARK, Ji In AHN, Seok Hyun JANG, Eui Jeong YOO, Sun KIM, Kwan JEONG, Se Kyun JU, Ka Jin LEE, Jong Jin PARK. Each artist exhibits contemporary ceramic works that reinterpret the sentiments and traditional techniques of traditional Korean ceramics.
Artist Oh Je-seong, who participated in the residency program, stayed in Andene for three weeks and exhibited 10 works he produced. Oh's work is praised for combining the inspiration of an unfamiliar place with the artist's imagination.
