Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Centre AU (KCC) is to run 'Korean Food Masterclass' at Sydney's best known food festival titled 'Good Food & Wine Show' for three days from 24th to 26th June. This festival is scheduled to be held at one of Sydney's landmark locations, International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour and boasts around 110,000 visitors each year. 


The KCC is to organise three different Korean food Masterclasses with renowned chefs in Australia and runs a total of 12 sessions during the festival. 





<All About Kimchi> with TV chef, Heather Jeong

Renowned Korean chef in Australia, Heather Jeong will run 4 sessions of All About Kimchi where participants can learn to make their own version of quick kimchi. This will be hands-on sessions that you get to taste some delicious kimchi and take what you make home to enjoy later. Heather will also share some tips on how to store/ferment Kimchi to your liking. 


<All About Korean Pancake (Jeon)> with renowned Korean chef from Darwin, Chungjae Lee

Chungjae Lee will run 4 sessions of All About Korean Pancake (Jeon) where he will guide the attendees to create their own version of Korean pancakes with a variety of ingredients. He will also share some tips on how make special sauce using gochujang and gochugaru to go with the pancakes. 


<All About Korean Fermentation: Kimchi Paste & Kimchi Juice> with natural fermentation expert from Melbourne Sharon Flynn

Get messy with your hands and make Kimchi paste using gochugaru with Sharon Flynn, who will also introduce Kimchi juice that will make your gut healthy. During the 4 sessions of All About Korean Fermentation, the attendees will get to taste some Kimchi Juice and Sharon will inform them of all the uses of it. 


The Korean Food Masterclass run as part of this year's Good Food & Wine Show will be a great opportunity for Sydneysiders to take part in hands-on sessions while enjoying the taste of Korean food and take some home to enjoy later.
