In celebration of 2022 Korea Week, the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS, Director PARK, Myeongsoon), the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (Ambassador CHANG, Keung-Ryong), and the Korean Cultural Centre (KCC, director LEE, Sungeun) held a virtual workshop on Korean traditional drink, Makgeolli.

The KCC has invited a sommelier and instructor at George Brown College, Chef SungSook Han, for this special workshop. There were 70 participants from 30 different cities across Canada. One of the participants commented that it was a unique experience to learn about the Korean traditional alcoholic beverage and also about the past lifestyle, history, and culture behind Makgeolli.
