Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) in collaboration with the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) held the opening ceremony of the 'Korean Culture and Tourism Festival' at Kampung Korea Kadu Engang, Banten, on 30 May.
Kampung Korea (Korean Village) Kadu Engang was opened as the first Korean-themed tourist park in Banten at the end of 2020. Furthermore, the location received support from KCCI in the form of corrections due to incorrect use of Korean cultural symbols that were found, such as on the Korean flag, Hanbok, and others.
In line with the plan to reopen Korean tourism visits this year, KCCI and KTO held this festival consisting of experiences and introductions to Korean culture, including a photo exhibition there until 3 June, 2022.
On the day of the opening ceremony, local government officials as well as teachers and students from local schools were also present. In addition, the Gyeongnam Jakarta Provincial Office also participated by holding a drawing competition for tourist attractions to promote tourist attractions in Gyeongnam Province.
