SCHEDULE

• Online Application: ~ 11 July 09:00am via   Google Form (Click!) 

• Notice to Selected Participants for the Final: 15 -18 July (via email)

• Final: 6 August (Sat), 2PM

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

• Length of K-pop dance cover performance: max. 5 min (Please participate in with original song but you can remix songs(max. 2 songs))

• MUST be cover dance, not a creation dance

• The performance video is preferably required to be a fixed angle. However, the moving angle is acceptable as far as the video shows the whole dance movement properly for the evaluation. However, special video effect or frequent tight shots are not suitable for dance evaluation.

• If you are selected to the final round, you can change the performance song.

• MUST perform with K-pop songs in Korean version (no Japanese/Chinese lyrics songs) (But when the original song is in English e.g. Butter, Dynamite, it is admitted)

• MUST submit the application form and performance video before the deadline (10 July 24:00) 

• Online selection criteria: Choreography(Uniformity)40% + Technic (30%) + Expression (30%)

• Finalists will be selected according to the online selection criteria and the number of the selected teams may vary according to the number of whole performers and the venue's operational policy in response to COVID-19

• The selected participants MUST attend the final round on 6th August at 2PM at Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the rehearsal session at 11AM.

• Date & Time: 6 August 2022 (Saturday), 2PM

• Venue: Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

PRIZE FOR WINNERS^:

• Champion*: HKD 7,000

• 1st Runner-up: HKD 5,000

• 2nd Runner-up: HKD 3,000

• 3rd Runner-up: HKD 2,000

^ Apart from the K-pop Dance Contest "CHOOM", 2 teams can be also put up as a candidate for the world final round of "2022 Changwon K-pop World Festival" organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and KBS. In case, there will be extra requirements for entering the next round.
