On Tuesday morning, 28 June 2022, the Korean Cultural Centre invited about 50 students from the Soshanguve Football Club to the cultural centre to see the cultural centre’s exhibition halls, library, and experience K-Pop music videos and traditional Korean games in the auditorium.

The students played ball together, after Ambassador Park Chul-joo's words of encouragement. The Korean Cultural Centre and the Korean Association jointly donated 22 soccer balls to the football club. The students got introduced to Korean culture by teaching them how to greet and introduce themselves through simple Korean lessons.

The football team students took time to look at the traditional crafts and Hallyu exhibits in the exhibition hall of the Cultural Centre. They listened to the explanations and asked questions.

Afterwards, everyone gathered in the Auditorium to watch K-Pop music videos and play Jegichagi.

Out of the 50 students who played Jegi for the first time, 10 showed outstanding athleticism, and were given a small cultural prize.

The Soshanguve Football Club Coach, who attended the event, thanked the Cultural Centre, saying, "I'm happy to learn about Korean culture and I want to visit the Cultural Centre again with my family." In the future, the Korean Cultural Centre in South Africa will frequently hold "Visiting Cultural Centre" events such as visiting residents of underprivileged areas in the hosting country and conducting K-Pop and taekwondo demonstrations.
