Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) release a book titled 'K-Foodology' as well as held an award ceremony for the winner of the Hansik menu book making competition, last 11 July at a Korean restaurant in Jakarta managed by Indonesian citizens.
In collaboration with the Korean Food Institute, 'K-Foodology' contains a glossary of Korean food which is divided into several large groups, including staple foods, side dishes, seasonings, snacks, and traditional drinks. In this 150-page book, there are also explanations regarding 140 Korean food menus along with photos.
In addition to the release of 'K-Foodology', KCCI also held a contest to make Hansik menu book with the target participants from representatives of local Korean restaurants. A total of 30 local Korean restaurants from various regions in Indonesia participated in the competition, which took about two months, starting from last May.
