On August 10, at the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand, Kim Byung Chul, First Secretary and Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and Yi Sang Woo, Director of Korea Tourism Organization Thailand, give an interview with Thai PBS, a public broadcaster in Thailand.
Consul Kim explained about the increasing number of illegal stay attempts through Jeju Island and the recent refusal of some Thais to enter Jeju Island. He also said that before COVID-19, the number of Thai tourists who visited Korea was the highest among ASEAN countries, and he is very grateful and hope that the 2 countries would cooperate to solve on illegal stay to enhance exchange between the both countries.
Meanwhile, Yi Sang Woo, Director of Korea Tourism Organization Thailand, said that the number of Thai tourists visiting Korea has increased significantly recently. Also, if there is any questions about Korea tourism, the Korea Tourism Organization Thailand is always available to help.
