On August 18, 2022, Korean culture experience event was held at the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand.
There were 120 Korean language students, including students from Srinakharinwirot University and Kasem Bundit University in Bangkok, including to students from King Sejong Institute at Korean Cultural Center attended the event.
On that day, Vice Minister Cho Yong Man of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea said that Korean and Thai language are similar that the love of the kings to their citizens, the kings created the alphabet and thanked to Thai students for their love for Korean culture and Korean language. In addition, he said that Korean government will strive to further strengthen the trust and friendship between the two countries by enhancing exchanges in various fields such as tourism, culture, sports and the economy.
Moreover, the students also experienced how to make 'Woo Young-Woo Kimbap' shown in the Korean popular series 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' that is popular in Thailand taught by Instructor Jung Inkyung, an instructor dispatched to the Korean Food Promotion Institute, the students rolled up Kimbap with the prepared ingredients, and enjoyed tasting the Kimbap they had made.
In addition, BTS Thailand cover dance team 'Dice' presented a wonderful dance stage, and there were various experience activities such as OX quiz on Korea, hanbok and school uniform experiences, and Korean candlestick handicraft making.
Meanwhile, Korean Cultural Center has been organized various experience activities related to Korean cultural contents, such as the Korean play experience event from 'Squid Game' and the Hanbok experience exhibition from the series 'The King's Affection' and 'The Red Sleeve' so that Thai people can enjoy Korean culture easily and in a fun way.
