MMCA Changdong Residency is well worth a visit and offers a fantastic range of unique exhibitions. The gallery is in a lovely neighbourhood and lends you the ideal opportunity to jump off the traditional tourist trail.

Afterwards, that ideal opportunity to look around a lovely neighbourhood to admire the variety of homes that aren’t so glitzy as central Seoul with a unique character will be an added reward.

Head towards Ssangmun metro station with a quick visit to 쌍문동커피 for a very delicious coffee and treat! Take the opportunity to read, and soak up the homely atmosphere.

Next, we are heading to Nowon, the most populated area of Seoul. It will give you the residential vibes. There is a vibrant shopping district with a number of cafes and restaurants awaiting you. If the time allows, we recommend spending an evening in the heart of Nowon to enjoy the night scene!
Our next destination is Buk-Seoul Museum of Art which is in the centre of a beautiful park, kids playing, parents charring and a few sculptures waiting for you to take the opportunty to snap a picture or two!

When in Rome…
In our case, we were exploring this neighborhood; we noticed a long line as we sipped on our coffee at Starbucks. It wasn’t a new BBQ or bakery – it was a Lotto shop!
If you happen to be holding an Alien card (resident card) or just feel like giving it a go – why not try the Korean Lotto at this 로또명당스파 location. We aren’t sure of the rules – as a foreigner – we did win at this location – it was very easy to pick up the winnings at the bank!!
