The Korean Cultural Center presented the concert of Gyeonggi Sinawi Orchestra on 13 September 2022 at 19:30 pm in Liszt Academy, Budapest.

The aim of the Gyeonggi Sinawi Orchestra is to create a new musical style that preserves the traditional spirit of Sinawi (improvisational music originating from shamanism). The band makes a creative attempt to combine works of traditional Korean music with contemporary art genres, thus serving to introduce and popularize traditional Korean music, gugak. Their performance in Budapest was one of the stops of their European tour. The concert awaited the Hungarian audience with a program that combines art music based on the traditions and ancient images of Korea, as well as the characteristics of traditional Korean orchestral music.
