The Korean Cultural Center in Thailand hosted 'K-pop Random Play Dance' with Park Jin Young(JYP), the famous co-founder of JYP entertainment, and GoToe, the Korean youtuber who has over two million subscribers in YouTube, at Lan Khon Muang, the square in front of Bangkok City Hall on October 19, 2022. After this event, the center provided K-pop flash mob dance performance.
'K-pop Random Play Dance(RPD)' is a popular challenge where anyone can dance to multiple and random K-pop hit songs, and it is the representative content of GoToe's channel. JYP and GoToe is on 'World RPD Tour' during October 8 - 24, 2022 at the landmark of five countries in Korea, Thailand, Spain, Brazil, and United States.
GoToe and Thai K-pop fans danced to many hit tracks of all generations, including Wonder Girls, 2PM, GOT7, TWICE, Stray Kids and ITZY for around an hour. Finally, JYP came to the square and danced together with fans with his song 'Groove Back'. After then, at K-pop flash mob, around 40 Thai amateur dancers performed flash mob in the song 'Permission To Dance'.
Regarding this event, GoToe said “I appreciate to Bangkok citizens, and I am happy with having many Thai friends through K-pop by this event Thank you for TAT and Bangkok City about their support.”
Mr. Cho Jae Il, the Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand said, "The venue of the event is meaningful as the Korean Embassy and the Center hosted 'Media façade show' for celebrating Korea National Day at the same venue last year. The Center will keep supporting various culture collaboration and exchange activities between Korea and Thailand."
