The first edition of Film Fest Gent after the corona crisis has received around 100,000 visitors, which are the same number of visitors as before. 

In collaboration with Korean Cultural Center Brussels, the 49th edition of the film festival had a focus on Korean Cinema, which included a number of recent features as well as a unique retrospective of 21st-century Korean cinema.

In total 118 full-length films and 40 short films were shown in Ghent between the 11th of October until the 22nd of October.

According to Kim Verthé, spokeswoman of Film Fest Gent among the many films that were shown the Koreans films enjoyed a lot of popularity. 

Film Fest Gent will be back again next year in October for their 50th edition.
