Event for the reopening of new direct flights Korea-Italy
On September 1, 2022, the Korean airline Korean Air resumed direct Incheon-Rome flights that had been suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic. Korean Air had already resumed direct flights Korea-Italy with the Incheon-Milan route already in July, while the other airline companions present in Italy, Asiana Airlines had resumed the Incheon-Rome flights already in June.
To celebrate the resumption of Korean Air's direct flights departing from Rome, ADR organized a small commemorative ceremony at Fiumicino airport which was also attended by H.E. Ambassador Lee Seong-ho and Director of the Korean Cultural Center Chun Ye Jin.
In addition to them, the Chief Aviation Officer Ivan Bassato and the Head of Aviation Business Development Federico Scriboni were present at the ceremony to do the honors for Aeroporti di Roma, as well as the head of the Korean Air Lee Ki Wook and, as other guests of honor, the President of the Association of Koreans in Italy Yoo Kyung-hun and the Honorary President of FITA Park Young Ghil.
In addition, a photographic exhibition depicting the scenic wonders of Korea has been set up for all travelers passing through.
We share the information hoping it will be useful to all those interested in a trip to Korea.
