Talk Show "Travel Diary in Korea" with Selvaggia Lucarelli and Lorenzo Biagiarelli
Friday 21 October at 7 pm The Korean Cultural Centre organized the talk show "Travel Diary in Korea" at the Space Cinema Moderno to spread knowledge of Korea and Korean Culture among the Italian public. For the occasion, Lorenzo Biagiarelli and Selvaggia Lucarelli were invited who were just last summer in Korea for the holidays.
At the opening of the bookings, there was a great response from the public, with a full house for both the seats in the hall and the waiting list in a single day. During the talk show various locations in Korea were presented, visited precisely by the Biagiarelli-Lucarelli couple who chose Korea as the first post-pandemic tourist destination given their interest in K-Beauty and Korean cuisine, but also thanks to the influence of their acquaintances who love Korean Culture.
During the evening there was talk of Korea in the round by touching Korean Cinema, K-Pop, K-Beauty, K-Drama, entertainment programs on TV, etc... also citing "The Masked Singer" which went into odna also in Italy of which the original format is in fact Korean.
The couple showed images of Seoul Plaza, Bukchon Village, Gwangjang Market as far as Seoul is concerned and also photos of other locations outside Seoul such as Suncheon, Gyeongju and Andong of which it is not easy to find tourist information were shown.
In addition, the importance and centrality for Koreans as regards eating was underlined and consequently how rich and varied the types of dishes present in Korea and the related gastronomic culture are. In particular, Dalgona Coffee was mentioned, which had great visibility during the pandemic and other dishes tasted in Korea such as Bibimbap, Mandu, Tteokgalbi, Bulgoghi and the inevitable Korean street-food.
Not only the tourist resorts and the culinary specialties were presented, but also aspects of Korean culture and everyday life were presented, also citing curious and funny episodes related to the Koreans met on the spot, such as the Korean who gave them an umbrella during the Korean storms of last summer.
At the end of the talk show, a Kimbap mini-box was distributed to everyone who became famous in Italy thanks to the K-Drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" and also among the favorite dishes Lorenzo Biagiarelli.
The public expressed themselves positively on the evening saying that thanks to the talk show they were able to have precious and difficult to find information about Korea and many others who were already planning a trip to Korea found the event fun and very useful.
