◆ Jihye Lee Orchestra

The Korean Cultural Center New York and the CJ Cultural Foundation are excited to announce the Young Korean Artists Series, in a new partnership program highlighting outstanding artists of the next generation, and for the first performance, present the Jihye Lee Orchestra on Saturday, December 3rd, 7:30 pm at The Times Center in New York City.

The Jihye Lee Orchestra, an 18-member ensemble jazz orchestra led by award-winning bandleader Jihye Lee known for her “intrepid storytelling” approach to jazz, will perform a dynamic program to include newly arranged works of Korean traditional classics such as “Sae Taryeong” and “Arirang” among others.

The Young Korean Artists Series is a new collaborative partnership between the Korean Cultural Center New York and the CJ Cultural Foundation to discover, empower, and support the new generation of Korean artists across artistic genres. Firmly believing that the growth of emerging artists is essential to contributing to the cultural landscape broadly, the program will nurture Korean artists based in New York to also pave their way to the international stage.
