K-Arirang

Show of traditional music and dance

On Wednesday November 2, the Korean Cultural Center organized the traditional music and dance show "K-Arirang" performed by the National High School of Traditional Korean Arts at the Teatro Vascello in Rome. Present at the show as well as obviously the Director Chun Ye Jin also H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Lee Seong-ho who at the end of the show wanted to show all his support and appreciation of him to the very young artists of the National High School of Traditional Korean Arts.

Also present at the evening were the Ambassador of Malaysia Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Vikotr Elbling, the interim Chargé d'Affaires of the People's Republic of China Xuan Zheng, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand Xuan Zheng, the former Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Korea Carlo Trezza, the Dean of the National High School of Traditional Korean Arts Wang Kicheol and other local diplomatic representatives.

The show program featured traditional dance (Buchaechum, Beokkuchum) and traditional music (Sinawi, Hwachotaryeong, Pansori Sarangga, Pangut etc...) performances, as well as delighting the audience with retellings of K-Pop songs such as 'Dynamite ' by BTS.
