Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. on January 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. held a lunar new year family celebration at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.


The event took place at SAAM's Kogod Courtyard, attracting nearly 8,500 participants. This program was the first in-person event hosted by SAAM since the COVID-19 pandemic and was part of Lunar New Year DC organized by SAAM. This was the first time the KCCDC participated in this event.

The program included traditional performances, traditional Hanbok clothing experiences, traditional games, and a virtual-Korea photo booth.
