【Important Notices】

• 1)This semester is divided into 15 weeks courses (MAR 7- JUN 17) and 20 weeks courses (MAR 7- JUL 22).The course schedule will be sent separately to students who have successfully applied for the course. The course will be conducted mainly on-line, certain classes will be arranged in face-to-face mode at KCCHK (Details to be announced later)

• *20weeks courses will be conducted 100% online

• *Priority will be given to local residents and foreign residents residing in Hong Kong.(Applicable to first-time applicants of KCCHK's Korean language classes)

2) Application is accepted from now on to FEB 19 (HKT 23:59).

3) Attendees will be notified via email. Sorry for unable to notify all applicants.

4) Applicant can register for ONE CLASS ONLY.
 

5) Students cannot change their class unless they get teacher’s approval.

6) Only accept applicants aged 18 or above. 
 

7) Students who cannot maintain the attendance with 70% or above, will not have priority to register KCCHK's Korean language classes in the future.

8) As the courses will be mainly conducted online via Zoom, students should ensure they have the electronic devices that can join virtual meetings.
​

9) Courses are conducted in Korean. English may be used for introductory and elementary courses.
​

10) Attendees of <Sejong Korean 1> will be selected by random draw. As for other classes, applicants with relevant certificates (eg. Certificate issued by King Sejong Institute, KCCHK; valid TOPIK score report; other certificates issued by other institutions) will be admitted. If your TOPIK score report expires (valid for 2years) and the certificate has been issued for more than 2 years, please take the online Korean proficiency test.  If you have NO proof, please take the online level test. (Check out the guidelines below)

If no relevant proof is uploaded, the application will not be considered.

11) Students should open their camera during lessons for better interaction with teacher and other students, and follow the class rules.

【ONLINE LEVEL TEST】

- The purpose of this online test is to ensure that King Sejong Institute students are able to be placed in the correct Korean class that matches their Korean level.​

- There is a Beginning and Intermediate test composed of listening and reading portions respectively.

How to do online level test? （only available in ENG/KOREAN）

* [register as member] In order to get the authentication code, you have to log into the email you entered. If you can’t find, please also check the Junk/ SPAM mailbox.

* Try another browser if there are any technical issues.
* The test takes for 30~40mins. We recommend using computer to complete the level test.

【Frequently-asked Questions】

1) A: Are the classes free of charge?

Q: Yes, all classes are free of charge.

​

2) A: What is “proof”?

Q: Certificate issued by King Sejong Institute,KCCHK; valid TOPIK score report; certificates issued by other institutions within last 2years, and the online level test results.

​

3) A: I have learnt Korean before, can I join the classes offered by KCCHK?

Q: Sure，as long as you can provide proof (refer to Q2) . If you have no proof, please take the online level test.

4）A: I have applied for many times, why did I still fail?

Q: Firstly, make sure that you meet the qualification. Application without proof will NOT be considered. If too many applicants who provided valid proof applied for the same course, attendees will be selected by random draw.
