Four Korean animation films will be shown during the 42nd edition of Festival Anima, the Brussels International Animation Film Festival, that will take place from 17-26 February, 2023 in Belgium.
This renowned animation festival that takes place each year promises again a fascinating program for everyone at this diverse and inclusive festival.
Throughout the week, there will be a wide range of feature films as well as short films, with more than 250 new titles that will be shown in cinemas in Brussels but also in a dozen cinemas in Wallonia and Flanders.
The Korean animation films that will be shown are:
- Chun Tae-il: A Flame That Lives On
Jun-Pyo HONG / 2021 / 99’ / Original Version with EN/FR/NL subtitles / 12+
The 22-year-old Chun Tae-il works in a clothing factory but dreams of becoming a tailor so that he can support his family. His working conditions are very hard. Much liked by all, he decides to take a stand for the rights of Korean workers. This moving drama was inspired by a tragic true event.
