On February 9, the Consulate General invited Ms. Hannah Yu, Hate Crimes Unit Chief of the New York County District Attorney’s Office, and held a “Safety Workshop on Hate Crimes Prevention and Responses.” 

The presenter urged members of the Korean community that if they believe they’ve been a victim of a hate crime, they should call 911 or contact the DA’s office Hotline (212-335-3100 or hatecrimes@dany.nyc.gov). Korean language service is available for those who need it. She also noted that more information will be provided at the “Hate Crimes Information Panel.” Event information is attached.
