The Korean Cultural Centre is pleased to host an art program <My story unfolded in Gisan's art> as the first workshop of ‘K-Culture: Art workshop Series' The program is related to the current KCC exhibition <First Encounter: Colourful Korea by Gisan>. Each participant will create a unique personal storybook inspired by Gisan's artworks. Re-work Gisan’s art to make your own storybook.


About the workshop <My story unfolded in Gisan's art>

- Date: 2023. 03.28. (Tuesday) 18:00-19:30 (ET)

- Venue: Korean Cultural Centre (150 Elgin St #101, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4)

Materials: Storyboard sheet, Blank board book(5"x5"), Printed Gisan’s art work images (Various size), Magazine, Photos, Scissors, Glue, Drawing/Colouring tools
- The KCC will provide basic craft materials. Please bring your personal decorations such as photos, stickers etc.

Workshop Instruction
1. Create your own story inspired by Gisan’s work.
2. Draw rough sketches and write the story on the storyboard sheet.
3. Write the story on the board book.
4. Cut and glue elements of Gisan’s work image and other magazine/photography images that are givens to create illustrations for your story. You can also draw and paint on the book.
5. Complete your storybook inspired by Gisan’s work and share it with us.
