South Korea now has three visa-free destinations
Getting a Korean visa seems to be a challenge to many Philippine residents lately as the Embassy of the Republic of Korea have changed some rules. Now, applicants must first secure a visa appointment slot at the Embassy's website (which is very limited) before they can submit their requirements.
Well, here's some good news: the Manila office of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has announced that there are now three destinations in South Korea that you can fly to visa-free!
Back in June last year, the country reopened its entry to Jeju Island and Yangyang County to most countries, including the Philippines, without the need of a visa through its international airports.
In an announcement by the KTO Manila Office dated March 3, the Muan International Airport in the province of Jeollanam-do is now included in the visa-free destinations, but that this won't take effect until March 15.
