Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center in Hungary held a Korean food masterclass on March 20 under the theme of 'Healthy food, Korean food' for 20 famous Hungarian chefs and gastronomic influencers to learn about the 'jang' culture, the basis of Korean food, and to make various kimchi with local ingredients. The event was hosted by Chef Kim Tae-yeon, a Korean food instructor who is an expert in royal and temple cuisine, and Zsofia Mautner gastronomy influencer who has authored 15 gastronomy-related books in Hungary.

The lecturer and moderator emphasized to the local chefs that kimchi, which is originally used for Korean food and local ingredients, goes well with Hungarian food, and it is an excellent healthy food that balances and harmonizes nutrition. They led the event by explaining the diversity and health benefits of Korean food.

In order to respond to the local interest in Korean food, the Cultural Center plans to promote and introduce Korean food through various Korean food-related events and media in the future.
