Consul General Euy Whan Kim met with Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and discussed promoting the 40th Korean American National Sports Festival scheduled in Nassau County from June 23 to 25 and other issues of interest for the Korean community, including the current strict fire code imposed on Korean BBQ restaurants. 

Consul General Kim also attended the county’s 4th March First Movement Commemoration and Yu Gwan Sun Scholarship ceremonies, after which he received a Citation of Appreciation for his partnership and contributions to the Korean community.
