The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore held the K-Food Master Cooking Class at the Wellness Centre in Our Tampines Hub from 12th May(Fri) to 14th May(Sun). The class, open to both locals and foreigners living in Singapore, was met with enthusiastic response and attracted more than 300 applicants.
In collaboration with chefs from three local representative Korean restaurants Ju Shin Jung, SBCD Korean Tofu House and Dal In, participants learned how to prepare the traditional Korean dishes of Samgyetang(Gingseng Chicken Soup), Sundubujjigae(Soft Bean Curd Stew) and Bibimbap(Rice mixed with vegetable and meat).
In addition, participants were presented with goodie bags that contained stir-fried sesame seads and five different kinds of seasoning sauces, which are staple ingredients in Korean dishes.
