HBOmax Hosts Fan Meeting with Leading Actors of Brazil's First K-pop Drama 'Beyond the Closet'

On July 14th, the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil(Director: Kim Cheol-hong) held a fan meeting with the leading actors of 'Beyond the Closet' (Alem do Guarda Roupa), the first K-pop drama produced by HBOmax in Brazil.

The fan meeting event featured Korean K-pop idols Kim Woo-jin and Jin Kwon (Newkidd), who star in the drama, as well as Brazilian second-generation Korean actor Sharon Jo. It was organized by HBOmax and attended by 50 local fans and influencers. The event included a fan meeting and autograph session.

'Beyond the Closet,' which will be streamed on July 20th this year, is a romantic fantasy drama that depicts the story of Carol, a Korean girl living in São Paulo, Brazil, who encounters the popular K-pop boy group ACT through a mysterious portal in her closet. With this opportunity to produce Brazil's first K-pop drama, the Cultural Center plans to collaborate with local drama production companies and HBOmax for promotional activities. Along with the participation of the leading actors in the fan meeting, a promotional space for the drama was set up within the Cultural Center to provide visitors with an opportunity to learn more about Korean K-pop culture through the introduction of the work.
