Events at KCCs abroad

Sejong Hakdang, the first semester of Korean language courses at the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil, has come to an end.

The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil, led by Director Kim Cheolhong, concluded the first semester of its Sejong Hakdang Korean language courses.

In the first semester, 291 students participated in the Korean language courses, which were taught by one dispatched instructor from Sejong Hakdang and three local instructors.

As part of the cultural center's efforts in the first half of the year, Sejong Hakdang dispatched instructor Lee Chunja, who dedicated herself to teaching Korean language courses for approximately four years, and welcomed new instructor Park Eunhye.

Instructor Park Eunhye guides students of various age groups, ranging from teenagers to people in their 60s, and shares her experiences and culture from Korea along with Korean language education. Instructor Park mentioned that students' interest in Korean culture has grown as the classes progress.

Micaelly, a student taking the 1st level course at Sejong Hakdang, expressed gratitude for the instructor's expertise and consideration and expressed the desire to quickly learn Korean to enjoy K-pop and Korean dramas without subtitles.

Instructor Jeong Miseon, who has been teaching at Sejong Hakdang for 10 years, conveyed her gratitude to students who diligently study Korean despite their busy academic and professional lives.

The Sejong Hakdang Korean language courses, operated by the cultural center, will recruit new students for the second semester starting in July.
