Meet and experience Korean culture by

'Korean Culture Caravan' and 'K-Soft Power Festival 2023'

The Korean Cultural Center in Thailand hosted 'Korean Culture Caravan' in Mahasarakham and 'K-Soft Power Festival 2023' in Chiang Mai during 14-15th July. On 14th morning, the Center operated 'Korean Culture Caravan' event at College of Liberal Arts, Mahasarakham University, and 'K-Soft Power Festival 2023' at Khum Kham International Convention Center and Central Chiang Mai Airport from 14th to 15th July.

'Korean Culture Caravan', provides Korean culture programs such as performance and booths for experiences to out of Bangkok area, which the Korean Cultural Center is not located in. For this year, the Center prepared various Korean culture experiences for around 500 students in the town, such as Korean traditional drum dance, Hanbok (traditional costumes), Hansik (Korean food), traditional plays and Korean culture quiz show.

After the event, Mr. Cho, Jae Il, the director of the Center donated 250 Korean culture kits including traditional craft making kits and traditional drums.


On the same date, 'K-Soft Power Festival 2023' was held at Khum Kham International Convention Center, to promote the exchange of Korean-Thai companies related Korea including K-pop, K-travel, K-food and K-beauty.

Then the next day, the Center hosted '2023 K-pop Cover dance Festival' with Seoulshinmun and KTCC at Central Chiang Mai Airport as part of 'K-Soft Power Festival 2023'. The winner of the event received flight tickets to Korea to attend the final stage as the Thai representative team in Seoul on coming September.



Mr. Cho, Jae Il, the director of the Center said, "The Center has hosted Korean culture events not only in Bangkok, but also many regions such as Songkhla, Buriram and Chiang Rai. It is pleased to host Mahasarakham and Chiang Mai this year and the Center will keep hosting Korean Culture events so that many Thais can enjoy Korean culture."
