THE EXHIBITION IS OPEN! 🎉
Close despite the geographical distance - this thought and feeling probably did not escape those who visited the Art Museum of the Radvil Palace yesterday. The joint project of Lithuania and South Korea is presented here - the exhibition "Beyond the frame: artistic photography of Korea since the 20th century. from the 1930s to the present day", filling two floors of the museum and bringing culture workers and fans of art photography from both countries closer than ever.
During the opening, guests were greeted by RRDM Director Justina Augustytė, General Director of the Lithuanian National Art Museum Arūnas Gelūnas, Vice Minister of Culture Rimantas Mikaitis, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Austria Jin Hong Rim, Hanmi Museum Director Song Youngsook, Deputy Director Bong Lim Choi, Exhibition Curator Sunyoung Kim and Coordinator Ugnė Marija Makauskaitė.
🇰🇷Presenting more than 100 works, the exhibition is drawn from the collection of the Hanmi Museum in Seoul. The curator of the exhibition, Sunyoung Kim, revealed that "Beyond the frame" is not only the first exhibition of South Korean art photography of this size in the Baltic countries, but also the first exhibition of the Hanmi Museum abroad. We are glad to have been able to contribute to history and opened the door for further cooperation.
🎼We thank the ensemble "Regnum musicale" for the sounds that accompanied the images and the great atmosphere of the evening.
